You’ve given birth to the most precious thing in the whole world, your little baby.
Besides being in total aww and care of him/her it’s also time to take care of yourself.
So what do you need? These are my top5 new mummy aftercare products.
Earth mama bottom spray;
Yes, bottom spray! Have I heard good reviews on this little potion!
It is hospital approved, zero toxins and a natural cooling perineal mist for prenatal hemorrhoids and postpartum soreness.
In other words, it soothes your vajayjay big time and seems to help speed up the healing process, what more do you want?!
I have been in terrible pain after having Alex, not wanting to go wee because of how bad it would sting, so yes, I am most excited to try this!
Postpartum bath herbs;
Same brand, as the bottom spray, these wicked (styptic, anti-bacterial) herbs also aid towards healing and reduce swelling.
As you can notice I’m focussing on a vaginal birth, however I would like to point out they also sell an awesome c-mama balm for c-sections!
Lansinoh nipple cream;
I used this when I was breastfeeding Alex and did it help me go through some tough and painful breastfeeding stages!
With no doubt in my mind will I use this again. It’s also one of the only nipple creams that do not need to be washed of before feeding.
Charity pot hand and body lotion;
Any body lotion/butter that smells nice to YOU to make you feel a tad bit more human on the early days you can barely get dressed.
I adore any Lush product, for it’s fairness and quality but upping my body cream with a charity, hell yes! Why not make myself feel double as good. But yeah, any body cream you love would do right here.
Batiste dry shampoo;
You know them family members that spontaneously pop over or having to go to the shop quickly?
This is my life saver! I absolutely hate greasy hair, can’t stand touching it but it happens.. It’s not a big mummy aftercare however it is good to feel good right? Batiste is a vegan friendly product, meaning it’s cruelty-free (a big thing for me) they have so many different smelling ones there has to be one out there for everyone.
Was there a product out there you found really helpful for your aftercare? Please do let me know!
